This is a Waypoint Hub plugin for your server!
The way it works is you'll first craft the Waypoint block.
When you place the block down you type the command:
/setwaypoint [NAME]
Once you do this, it will save the coordinates. To teleport to any waypoint, go near a waypoint block (within 20 blocks) and type the command:
/waypoint
Once you do this, it will show an inventory menu with all of the possible waypoints to teleport to. Just click it and it will teleport you!
To delete a waypoint, simply destroy the block (to preserve the block's metadata it will try to automatically put it in your inventory instead of dropping so make sure you have a space in your inventory or it won't break).
A few notes:
Currently, it will only work for one world. I plan to add multi-world support by making the server record coordinates with world-related identifiers. So if I update the plugin with this new feature, it may not recognize the configuration file of the outdated plugin.
I also plan to add the choice to create private waypoints. Currently, all waypoints are publicly accessible to anyone on the server.
For people in a non-survival server I'll also implement a command to get the block in the player's inventory without the need to craft it.
And I will post source code soon as well. I unfortunately, lost the project after switching workspaces but I'll find it for sure
And of course, if anybody has feedback, post a message in the discussion section and I'd be more than happy to take a look
